A Detroit Police Department sergeant is being credited with saving the life of an infant girl on Thursday.

According to police, the mother of the 3 1/2-month-old girl flagged down the sergeant when her daughter stopped breathing.

DPD performed CPR and rushed the baby to Children's Hospital, blocking roads to get the infant there as quickly as possible.
