DETROIT (WXYZ) - DTE Energy is hoping a new reward will help someone come forward with information leading to the arrest of someone responsible for
shooting a worker last week in Detroit.
The energy company has announced a $10,000 reward in connection to the shooting of an employee on December 18.
The worker was shot 3 times in the head, chest and side. He was found in the snow outside of his home, in the 20000 block of Warrington, near 8 Mile and Livernois.
At the time, a neighbor told 7 Action News that he heard five shots and then a vehicle drove away from the scene at around 6:40 a.m.
DTE Energy says they are working with the Detroit Police Department and DTE employees are distributing fliers near the scene of the shooting.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call a special DTE Energy Crime Tip Hotline at 313-235-9119 or the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1640. Callers can remain anonymous.
The name of the shooting victim has not been released.
