(WXYZ) - Big cat in the Big City.
People in Northeast Detroit are reporting that an exotic cat is roaming the street.
The stories around this cat seem to be growing bigger than the feline itself. Some saying it's perhaps four feet tall with stripes and spots.
We're told it's probably more like knee high and that it's a "Savannah" cat: part African wildcat, part house cat.
An animal expert says it's not as scary as some neighbors are reporting, but to be safe you still shouldn't approach it.
The animal has been seen in the area of Alcoy and Bringard. It's estimated to weigh between 30 and 40 pounds.
Michigan Humane Society is trying to track down the cat. If you spot it, give them a call at 313-872-3400.
