DETROIT (WXYZ) - Five people were injured Wednesday morning in an accident involving an EMS vehicle on the city's west side.
It happened just after 8 a.m. when an EMS rig was struck by a Ford Taurus on Glendale and Linwood. The EMS vehicle was responding to a call and had activated its lights and sirens when it was broad-sided by the Taurus.
EMS Superintendent Gerald James of the Detroit Fire Department says five people were transported to Henry Ford Hospital but there were no serious injuries.
A child was in the Taurus at the time of the accident.
