Governor holds media roundtable on Detroit's consent agreement

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Governor Snyder along with the State Treasurer Andy Dillon and Director of Urban Initiatives Harvey Hollins held a media roundtable Thursday afternoon to discuss the newly agreed to consent agreement between Detroit and the state.

The roundtable was held at the Cadillac Place building in Detroit.

7 Action News has obtained a copy of the signed consent agreement. It can be seen below.

This comes a day after the Detroit City Council voted 5-4 to accept the Financial Stability Agreement between the city the and the state.

Earlier Wednesday the Detroit Financial Review Team passed the agreement by a vote of 7 to 0. Three members of the team were not present, but enough of the body was present for a quorum.
