A Detroit family is desperately searching for the driver who slammed into them Monday night, and then casually walked away from the scene.

Five people were inside the vehicle, including their three-year-old daughter.

It's been three days, but it's like the crash happened moments ago for the Kendricks. The memories flooding back every time they look at their three-year-old daughter.

Surveillance video shows a driver crashing into them, after they left the grocery store, on 7 Mile near Van Dyke on the city's east side Monday.

Krystina Wilson-Kendrick told us, "We are all in the house with injuries because someone crashed into us and won't own up to it."

Five were inside the car, including Shawn Kendrick, his wife Krystina, and two daughters - one now dealing with torn ligaments in her knee.

What astonishes them is what the driver did right after. Surveillance also shows him causally walking away from the scene, like he had no care in the world.

Shawn Kendrick says, "That impact, with the doors flying off and the seat belts coming off, we are lucky. Someone could have died."

Photos also show the damage of their only vehicle.

With Wilson-Kendrick battling diabetes, and her little girl fighting disabilities, they don't know what to do without a car to get to the doctor.

If you recognize the driver, or his burgundy Chevy Suburban, call Detroit Police right away.
