DETROIT (WXYZ) - A hole caused by a water main break in Detroit is becoming a dangerous problem for people because it's nearby where children play.
The hole, located on Whitcomb street, is deep enough to swallow half of a child's bike and a small dog! A water main appears to be broken underneath the street, and a 14-year-old fell in the hole while riding his bike Saturday, and hurt his leg.
Lashunda Harris, who's son fell in the hole with his bike, say Detroit needs to fix it.
"I want the city of Detroit to fix this broken water main so kids stay safe," Harris said.
One of their neighbors, Maureen Edwards, says she's called Detroit Water and Sewage several times, especially because the water is constantly flowing.
We have called Detroit Water and Sewage about the problem, but haven't heard back from them yet.
