HopCat Detroit to open in style this November with over 100 Shorts beers on tap, free fries

DETROIT - HopCat Detroit announced Wednesday they plan to open November 15 to customers.

The restaurant and bar will also have a free concert by the Pitch Blak Brass Band, and a world record tap takeover by Short's Brewing Company to celebrate the opening.

The event starts at 11 a.m. and will include at least 101 different Short's beers.

Also, the first 200 customers aged 21 and up in line prior to the opening will receive a card, good for a free order of HopCat's famous crack fries every week for a year. Everyone who visits the day of the grand opening will get a free order of the fries.

The Pitch Blak Brass Band will play a free show on their second floor.

In February, the Grand Rapids based restaurant and bar announced they would be opening a store in Detroit on Woodward Avenue at Canfield in Midtown.

They are currently looking for acts to play after November 15.
