DETROIT (WXYZ) - They are moving a mountain of tires, and the man who dumped them and tried to run from 7 Action News last year, could not run from the law.
Henry Ross got six months in jail and two years probation for dumping some 70,000 tires at a site on Lyndon on Detroit's west side.
It cost us to clean them up, $89,000 in state tax money from the Department of Environmental Quality.
Ross was a licensed tire hauler, but instead of disposing of the tires he dumped them.
He also made an estimated $60,000 for taking the tires from retailers.
