(WXYZ) - Kwame Kilpatrick's federal corruption trial is being delayed until Monday at the earliest.
The delay comes following the sudden illness of Bobby Ferguson's attorney, Gerald Evelyn. Evelyn became sick during cross examination on Monday and was taken to the hospital.
Evelyn's illness forced court proceedings to end early on Monday. The judge also originally canceled Tuesday's session.
Attorneys will now meet on Friday to discuss Evelyn's condition and how to proceed.
Jurors should call in Sunday afternoon to confirm that court proceedings will resume on Monday.
