Athletic apparel company Lululemon's newest concept space, Downtown Detroit Local, opened on Friday at 1459 Woodward Ave.

The 3,000 square foot space will "engage intimately with Detroit residents by offering a place for connection, creation, sweat and collaboration via events and offering technical athletic product for men and women," according to a news release.
In partnership with Playground Detroit, the store will feature artistic contributions from local artists and will also provide monetary support to Downtown Boxing Gym.
"With a focus on personal connection and collaboration with other local business, Lululemon is excited to bring this space to Detroit and connect, share and grow with the community."
