DETROIT (WXYZ) - Federal agents have arrested a man from Atlanta, Georgia who, they say, was soliciting sex from a minor in the Detroit metro area.

According to Homeland Security, 66-year-old David Crossman placed an ad online looking for minors. A special agent responded to the ad posing as father with a 14-year-old son.

Khaalid Walls, a spokesperson for Homeland Security told 7 Action News the messages received by special agents went into graphic detail about his plans for the 14-year-old boy.

After two months of communicating with Crossman, investigators say Crossman flew to Detroit on Friday with the intention of meeting a man and his son.

Crossman was arrested at Detroit Metro Airport.

He is now in the custody of US Marshalls. Crossman is charged with Travel In Interstate Commerce For The Purpose Of Engaging In Illicit Sexual Conduct and Online Enticement.

He will be arraigned Wednesday in Federal Court.
