Man, woman shot sitting at southwest Detroit stoplight

DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) - Detroit police are currently investigating an overnight double-shooting on the city's southwest side.

We're told two people, a man and a woman, were shot at a stoplight near the corner of Vernor & Central around 3:30 Wednesday morning.

Four Hispanic males drove-up next to them in a black Chevy Impala, and that's when one of those men pulled out a shotgun and began firing.

Police say the two victims were able to drive to a nearby gas station for help.

The man was hit in the back of the head, and remains in serious condition. Meanwhile, we're told the woman was shot just under the eye; she's expected to be okay.
