The operation took place on August 21 and August 23. Operation Lock Down's goal was to execute search warrants at places where drugs were being sold or stored.

120 people were arrested over the two days of the operation.

"These examples of excellent investigative and proactive policing exemplify the hard work that our officers perform every day, with the assistance of law enforcement partners, the citizens and Crime Stoppers, state Chief Godbee. "We as a city must continue to be determined to erase the violence, and bring about a safer Detroit.
