DETROIT (WXYZ) - Mayor Dave Bing and a prominent business leader are expected to announce the opening of a "major" corporate office in downtown Detroit today.
Crain's Detroit Business reports that the advertising agency Campbell Ewald will move its headquarters from the city of Warren to the former site of the J.L. Hudson Co. warehouse in Detroit. The warehouse is now part of the Ford Field complex.
Campbell Ewald is actually returning to Detroit, after having left for Warren in 1978. The company is expected to bring nearly 600 employees to their new headquarters.
Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and Campbell Ewald CEO Bill Ludwig are expected to formally announce the move during a news conference that will be held at 1:45 pm to discuss specifics of the plan.
