Michigan Economic Development Corporation aims to help fill more than 75,000 job openings

Detroit (WXYZ) - On Friday the Pure Michigan DREAMJOB summit brought about 2,000 jobseekers to Ford Field.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation hosted the event that required pre-registration.  It feature more than 110 Michigan employers who will be meeting with pre-qualified candidates to fill nearly 1,200 jobs.

If you were not able to make this event, organizers say there are many job opportunities available in our state right now.

On the site http://www.mitalent.org /, there are nearly 76,000 jobs available right now.

"Talent is the new currency in economic development and the surest way to grow our economy," said Michael Finney, President and CEO of MEDC. "Pure Michigan DREAMJOBS is an innovative way to match the talent needs of Michigan companies with people who can provide experience, capabilities and energies companies require to succeed. At the same time, it means new job opportunities for our people who can bring highly valued talents to many of the best names in Michigan business."
