'Neighborhood advisory council' to be voted on Wednesday afternoon

DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) - People living in and around the new Red Wings arena district are expected to vote today on who they want on the neighborhood advisory council.

16-members will be in this group, and 4 members have already been picked by Detroit City Council.

Community members will choose the remaining 12 seats sometime Wednesday afternoon.

There is criteria that must be met; members on the advisory council must live in the area, or own a business within a quarter-mile radius of the $650 million development.
