Excitement in Detroit as the first home World Series game nears

DETROIT, Mich (wxyz) - Downtown Detroit is buzzing with Tigers excitement. People are singing, cheering, taking pictures and buying Tigers gear--hoping for a Game 3 victory.

There are signs and posters all over the city and flashing messages of hope. Fans from near and far are showing up around that famous tiger in front of Comerica Park.

"I've been a Tigers fan since 1968, and I can't wait for the game, I think we are going to do  it," said Barry Fader from Niagra Falls, Ontario who had a ticket for Saturday's game.

"I have no ticket but flew in from California just so I could feel the atmosphere", said Darrell Hudson who grew up in Detroit.

The World Series games will bring business to downtown and will undoubtedly lift the spirit of the city. Most agree, this is a home run for Detroit no matter how you look at it.
