DETROIT (WXYZ) - A source in the medical examiner's office tells Action News they used dental records to identify a fourth woman whose body was found in a car trunk late last month. The woman has been identified as Natasha Curtis.
We're told police provided the medical examiner with dental X-rays that were ultimately used to determine Curtis' identity.
Curtis' body was found along with the body of 29-year-old Vernithea McCrary. The car they were in had been set on fire.
The bodies of Curtis and McCrary were found about a week after the bodies of Damesha Hunt and Ranisha Landers were discovered -- all four were found in car trunks. The causes of death in the killings have not been released. The M.E.'s office is still awaiting toxicology reports.
Police say three of the four women had posted ads for escort services on the website backpage.com. It has since been revealed that police are looking into multiple websites.
