Detroit (WXYZ) - Police say A 19 year old was behind the wheel of a car just before 8 Thursday morning, when he lost control. His car then sped off of a quiet residential street, through three yards, and into a home at the corner of Lynville and University on Detroit's far east side.
"I'm angry," said Renee Skinner.
She and her nephew Keith Marshall live in the home hit. She now is wondering if the impact damaged the home's foundation.
Police found an empty whisky bottle in the car as they rescued the driver. They believe alcohol played a part in the crash.
"Why can't you stay home?" asked Marshall. "Why do you got to drink and drive?"
The driver suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
