A preliminary hearing was held for a Detroit man who is facing multiple charges after allegedly shooting and killing a teen in Detroit over a pair of Jordan shoes.

WATCH PRELIMINARY HEARING:

According to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, Dante Ford, 20, is charged with felony murder, armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm.

Ford allegedly shot and killed 17-year-old Corey Thomas, from Grosse Pointe Woods, on June 6.

Investigators say Thomas and his 21-year-old passenger met a guy on social media and agreed to buy a pair of Jordans.

They reportedly picked Ford up on Tuesday afternoon and were going to get the shoes when an argument broke out inside the SUV.

We're told the front seat passenger and Ford, who was in the backseat, both had guns and started shooting inside the vehicle.

Thomas was shot and killed and the 21-year-old was shot in the shoulder.
