DETROIT (WXYZ) - A scary situation in a neighborhood on Detroit's west side as people come face to face with an alligator.
It happened in the 15000 block of Mincock.
The reptile made it into an area where children often play.
Neighbors haven't seen anything like it before.
"I'm like 'it's probably someone's pet, but it's not ours,'" Dorretta Gravette said.
Neighbors just after 10 a.m. Sunday placed a call for some gator aid.
Kids are often playing where the gator was found.
Luckily, Detroit firefighters and the Michigan Humane Society got out there quickly.
At last check, the alligator is now with the Humane Society.
