(WXYZ) - Three men were in court for sentencing Thursday in the carjacking case of prominent Detroit pastor and gospel music icon Marvin Winans.
Montoya Givens, Brian Young and Christopher Moorehead were sentenced to serve jail time after being convicted of charges including Carjacking, Conspiracy to Carjack, Unarmed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Unarmed Robbery according to Wayne County Prosecutor Maria Miller.
Brian Young was sentenced to serve 5-10 years in prison. Morehead was sentenced to 4-20 years and Givens was sentenced to 6-20 years.
Winans is pastor of Perfecting Church on Detroit's east side. He delivered singer Whitney Houston's eulogy in February.
He was attacked May 16 while pumping gas. The robbers took his SUV, Rolex watch and cash. The 54-year-old sustained bruises and scrapes.
