DETROIT (WXYZ) - A man suspected of stabbing a 14-year-old boy on a DDOT bus February 12 is now in the custody of Detroit Police.
The suspect and the teen got into an argument on the bus, before the suspect stabbed him.
It was originally reported that someone was arrested in the case, but DPD determined that the person in custody at the time was not the wanted suspect.
DPD officers were able to gather more information and acquired a photo of the suspect from a bus passenger's cell phone.
The man peacefully surrendered himself to police after officers negotiated with the family.
He is expected to be arraigned sometime this week.
