(WXYZ) - A judge sentenced an A&E producer to probation and community service for perjury and obstruction of justice charges in the shooting death of 7-year-old Aiyana Jones.
Allison Howard, a producer for A&E's 'The First 48' was sentenced to 24 months probation, up to 200 hours community service and fined $2000 Thursday.
Howard was producing the reality series during a Detroit police raid where little Aiyana was shot and killed. Prosecutors said Howard showed a recording of that deadly police raid to a third party, causing a delay in the investigation.
She pleaded no contest to the charges.
The court says Howard who lives in Massachusetts must ge the courts permission to travel outside of the United States.
