Mayoral candidate Tom Barrow is alleging fraud in the vote.
DETROIT (WXYZ) - Former Detroit mayoral candidate Tom Barrow says he's asking for an investigation into the primary election, alleging fraud.
Barrow alleges his poll watchers saw "thousands of ballots" with the same handwriting on write-in votes for Mike Duggan.
Melvin "Butch" Hollowell, who works for the Duggan campaign, says Barrow "makes things up."
Michigan Elections Director Chris Thomas says his workers will be looking at ballots and can see if any are suspicious.
Barrow also says a website has been set up illegally seeking poll workers in November.
Spokespeople for the Wayne County Prosecutor and Michigan Attorney General say they have not received Barrow's request for an investigation.
