DETROIT(WXYZ) - Detroit's homeless are facing real danger as this arctic blast slams the region.
As snow continues to pile up, warming centers are opening their doors.
Some at Cass Community Warming Center just need a little extra help. Others have been on the streets for quite a while and visit year after year.
The warming center provides blankets, beds, clothing and food for the homeless.
"We let them take showers, wash clothes and feed them hot breakfast in the morning." said Keith McElveen from Cass Community Warming Center.

Operation Get Down is another center located at 6821 Medbury Street. The facility houses 200 beds. The center is open 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through March.
