Youth recreation, residential, commercial development proposed for old Tigers Stadium site

DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) - Plans to redevelop the site of Tiger Stadium are set to be unveiled sometime on Tuesday.

The site at Michigan & Trumbull, where the Tigers played their home games until 1999, would be home to the new headquarters for the Police Athletic League, or 'PAL.'

That's an organization aimed to get inner-city kids involved in sports.

The project would also include a youth baseball diamond, as well as commercial space and offices.

There's even plans to bring some residential space to the area as well.
