2 more deaths in Michigan from West Nile Virus

(WXYZ) - The Michigan Department of Community Health is reporting two more deaths from the West Nile Virus.

An 87-year-old man from Macomb County recently passed away after an illness that showed the signs of the virus.

A 65-year-old man from Ogemaw County also died from the virus.

So far, there have been eight reported deaths from West Nile Virus and 160 reported cases in the state of Michigan.
 
There are also reports that an individual from Washtenaw County gave blood without knowing they had the virus.

The CDC reports that there has been an alarming increase in West Nile cases across the country.
