MT. CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Macomb County Circuit Court reopened at 2:15 p.m. after a bomb threat shut the court down Monday morning.
The Macomb County Sheriff confirmed to 7 Action News that the building was closed temporarily, and all sheriff's employees had evacuated the building. Sheriffs with K-9 units conducted a floor-by-floor search of the building and surrounding area, and found nothing.
Sheriff says that someone called in a threat, and the judge decided to shut down the building while investigator's search. Investigators are trying to track a phone number to find out who the caller is.
