Clinton Township Police release enhanced photos of suspects in murder of party store owner 'Basil'

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Clinton Township Police Department has released enhanced photos showing the suspects in the murder of a beloved party store owner.

Police say the crime happened around 11 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the Moon Lite party store located on Harper, just north of 14 mile.

Investigators say three masked men entered the business, then shot and killed the store owner "Basil" during the robbery.

Basim "Basil" Sulaka, 51, had owned the store for 18 years and was a cancer survivor.

Suspects in the case are still on the loose. If you recognize the suspects or have any information that could help in the case, you are urged to call Clinton Township Police.

A Justice for Basil Facebook page has been set up in Basil's honor. A fundraising event will take place Thursday, April 10 through Sunday, April 13 at Detroit Pub in Clinton Township.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the needs of Basil's family.
