Man accused of robbing and stabbing woman at a McDonald's drive-thru window

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Chesterfield Township Police are searching for a man accused of robbing and assaulting a woman in the drive-thru of a McDonald's.

It happened at the store in the area of 23 Mile and I-94.

Police say the woman was paying her food when her car was approached by Roland Lee Moore, Jr. Witnesses say Moore lunged through the woman's open window and grabbed her purse and laptop.

The woman attempted to fight Moore off, but police say he stabbed her hands several times with a knife before running away.

Officers say a man who was behind the woman in the drive-thru chased Moore with a bat, but he was able to escape across 23 Mile Road on a bicycle.

Police say they have learned that Moore recently packed up his belongings at the home where he was staying in Chesterfield and may be in the Eastpointe/Roseville area with an unknown woman.

Moore is wanted for armed robbery and assault with intent to go great bodily harm. He is also wanted on a parole absconder warrant.

Roland Moore is 6'0" tall and weighs about 240 pounds. He has a shaved head and reddish brown mustache and goatee. He is heavily tattooed from his neck down.

Moore also has an extensive criminal record. If you know where he is, you're asked to contact police immediately.
