An 82-year old crossing guard is recovering after allegedly being hit by a car.

It happened Tuesday afternoon on Barkman and Chestnut in Roseville.

Albert Lipinski says he was waiting for children to get out at Steenland Elementary. Lipnski says he advised a parent that was in the middle of the street to wait for their child in the parking lot.

According to Roseville police the woman hit him while seeming to drive away.

Thirty-six-year-old Nichole Drain is accused of hitting the man and fleeing the scene. Police say Drain later came back on foot yelling at the school’s principal.

She was arrested and has been accused of driving under the influence, failure to stop and operating with a suspended license. Police also claim there was an open alcohol container in the vehicle.

Drain has been convicted of driving under the influence in 2012 and 2014 in Detroit.

Lipinski was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“Creating a fiasco like this, all the kids are out there they could see this, it's not a good example for them,” Lipinski says.

Drain’s bond was set at $50,000.
