Police search for man who flashed gun after road rage incident in St. Clair Shores

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WXYZ) - Not your usual Thursday in Saint Clair Shores.

Neighbors watch as police conduct a search with six officers and a K-9 going from back yard to back yard, searching for a man wanted for pointing a gun at a driver after a road rage incident along 9 Mile Road and Elaine near Harper.

Police tell 7 Action News the call came in around 5:15 at the height of rush hour today when an argument between drivers of a Buick and Jeep Liberty broke out.

Detectives say a passenger in the Jeep pointed a gun at the Buick driver.

The driver sped away from the aggressor, only to have the Jeep follow. Police say the Jeep then caused a hit and run with another car in a neighborhood on Ridgeway Drive. Police arrived, arrested the driver, but the passenger with the pistol ran from police.

Police describe the suspect as a young white male, in his 20s with tattoos on both arms wearing a white tank top, black short and a black hat, possibly carrying a gun.
