Police search for man who robbed a TCF Bank in Macomb County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police are searching for a man who robbed a Macomb County bank Wednesday morning.

Officers say that at 11:00 a.m. a man entered a TCF Bank on Hall Rd., put on sunglasses and approached a teller. He handed her a note indicating he had an explosive in his bag and demanded money.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then fled south.

The Macomb County Sheriff's department was able to track the suspect into a nearby condo complex. However, that's where the trail suddenly stopped.

The man is described as black, 30-years-old, and wearing a navy hoodie, skull cap, blue jeans and black gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Joseph Burns at 586-493-7851 or the Detective Bureau's main line at 586-493-7840.
