Retired couple gets medical bill reimbursment after asking the Call for Action team for help

(WXYZ) - A retired Roseville Couple waited over a year to get a medical bill payment reimbursed. However, after one call to our Call For Action team, their situation was taken care of quickly.

Jim and Marie Belloli have taken several cruises over the years and they always buy travelers insurance.

Jim says, "you never what might happen?" So as luck would have it, they had a problem this time. Jim got sick.  He went to the doctor, was treated and felt better a few days later. His bill was $169 but Jim didn't think anything of it because he knew he had insurance to get reimbursed.

When Jim and Marie got back home they sent the bill to their insurance company, who in turn said they needed to go through Medicare first.

So they did exactly that. However, when Medicare processed the bill they did so with a date of 2008?  When that paperwork was sent to the insurance company they denied the claim, and continued to deny each time Jim started the process over.

This went on for almost a year. Jim was ready to "throw in the towel" and say whatever.  However, his wife Marie said no!  "He gives up but I don't give up that easy, says Marie!"

She contacted our team, they made a few calls and quickly found out that all they needed was a denial letter from Medicare stating the 2008 date was wrong. They got the letter, sent it to their insurance company and then received their reimbursement money!
