WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Washington Township man who beat his girlfriend's two-year-old son to death while babysitting him will be sentenced on Thursday.
It's also likely we'll hear from Damian Sutton's mother, as the families of victims get to make a statement to help the judge determine the sentence.
Ronald Dimambro, the man who beat little Damian to death, already knows he's getting life in prison.
Two-year-old Damian Sutton died of blunt force trauma to the head last August; he was being watched by 27-year-old Ronald Dimambro at the time.
We're told Dimambro lost his temper, and instead of walking away, beat Damian.
Damian was treated at Children's Hospital, doctors had to wean him off pain medications that were no longer controlling his blood pressure or brain pressure.
Doctors eventually had to put him in a medically enduced coma, but unfortunately could not save him from his injuries.
Last month, Dimambro was found guilty of first degree felony murder and first degree child abuse; first degree murder carries a sentence of life without the chance of parole.
The judge will make the sentence official Thursday morning.
