Torrential rains turned roads into rivers, leaving cars stranded.
St. Clair Shores was one of the hardest hit places in Macomb County.
Cars, shopping carts and parking lots all flooded after the storm. It dumped heavy rain for 30 minutes straight near 9 Mile and Harper.
Neighbors worked to free drains covered with debris, and cars struggled to drive through the flooded roads. Some didn't make it.
