Some Michigan National Guard workers called back to Selfridge base

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Despite the partial government shutdown, hundreds of federal employees will return to work in Michigan today.

650 civilian employees and military technicians at Selfridge Air National Guard base are expected to report Tuesday.

Most of the furloughed workers at the Army's Tank Command in Warren also went back to work yesterday.

Thousands of federal employees were allowed to return to work after the Defense Secretary reversed an earlier decision to furlough most civilian employees.
