Suspected gunman in St. Clair Shores road rage incident arrested

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WXYZ) - St. Clair Shores Police have arrested the suspect wanted in a road rage incident in St. Clair Shores on Thursday night.

Police say a 25-year-old Fraser man was arrested and police recovered two guns. The guns were replica guns.

One gun was recovered in a backyard on Stephens near the scene of the crime, and the other was found in Maple Park Plaza.

Police tell 7 Action News the call came in around 5:15 p.m. yesterday when an argument between drivers of a Buick and Jeep Liberty broke out.

Detectives say the man was a passenger in the Jeep and he pointed a gun at the Buick driver.

The driver sped away from the aggressor, only to have the Jeep follow. Police say the Jeep then caused a hit and run with another car in a neighborhood on Ridgeway Drive. Police arrived, arrested the driver, but the passenger with the pistol ran from police.

The suspect is supposed to be arraigned tomorrow on charges of assault, as well as fleeing and eluding police.
