WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Macomb County investigators continue to look for some brazen thieves who broke into a jewelry store with some aggressive tactics.

These guys had a plan, and they were quick early Friday morning. They knew what they were after, and they weren't going to leave the Washington Township store without it.

The surveillance footage from J & M Jewelry Store doesn't come with sound. But you can almost hear the destruction in your head, as you watch three masked men in hoodies and gloves break through the front door by throwing a large boulder.

Macomb County sheriff's deputies say the thieves broke into four showcases, shattering the glass with hammers. All of this unfolding at 3:11 am Friday morning - concluding in less than a minute.

In the time it took for us to tell you about the crime, these men were in and out. Investigators say they were in the store for 58 seconds.

I spoke with Macomb County Sheriff's investigators tonight, and they're looking at the possibility of this crime connected to a number of similar break-ins at area jewelry stores. But at this time, investigators say it's too early to tell if they are connected.

If you have information about the break in at J & M Jewelry, you're asked to call the Macomb County Sheriff's office.
