Woman who was reported to have died in Warren flooding is alive

WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - Warren city officials say a woman who was thought to have died in Monday's flooding is actually alive.

The 30-year-old woman has a history of seizures and suffered a medical problem during the chaos caused by the flooding.

Bystanders who tried to help took the woman to the Buddy's Pizza at 13 Mile and Van Dyke. From there she was transported to St. John Macomb Hospital, where officials reported she was pronounced dead.

However, officials now say that was a miscommunication and that crews at St. John were able to resuscitate the woman.

She has reportedly been treated and released.
