MONROE, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Monroe County Emergency Management Division is asking drivers to stay off the road until 7:00 am, Wednesday, so they can clear the roads.
The request extends to all primary and secondary roads. Residents are asked to stay at home, except for essential travel to and from work of for emergencies.
County officials say the public's "assistance and compliance" is needed so crews can clear the roads and remove the stranded and abandoned cars that are blocking the roads.
Monroe officials says the situation will be revaluated Wednesday morning to determine if any other emergency measures will be needed.
