BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - The township hall in Berlin Township is a disaster after vandals broke in and destroyed the hall earlier this week.
The punks looking for the cheap thrill trashed the place, almost as if a tornado broke through, leaving Township Supervisor Karl Reaume speechless.
"We use this building as a precinct for our voters, school elections and primary elections, even rent it out to baby showers," Reaume said.
According to Reaume, they opened the door the other day and saw a chair hanging from the ceiling, shoved through the tiles.
He also says they took a mop handle and busted the dry-wall up, took the lights out, threw paint everywhere and covered the floor in garbage.
They even let 7,000 gallons of water run through the building.
The hall was just renovated three months ago, and the damage is estimated between $20,000 and $25,000.
