It’s been cold outside, but imagine not having heat in your home.

That's what some residents in Southfield are facing right now.

People who live in the Atrium Apartments say they haven't had much heat all winter long. They've been keeping warm with space heaters and their ovens.

Today we paid the building manager a visit - and called the city - trying to get the heat back on.

Michael Quarles says he's been living in the cold in his Southfield apartment for over a year.

The heat is turned up to 90-degrees inside his apartment, but its under 65-degrees inside.

Michael says he's growing tired of the excuses.

We went to the management office. We didn't get an answer. So went to the city.

They tell us The Atrium Apartments on 9 Mile has been experiencing ongoing heating issues. But they did send a mechanical inspector over and as of 3:15 this afternoon - the heat is back on.

Michael tells us that while he's happy he's the heat is back on, he still plans on moving out because he's just fed up.
