Birmingham Police search for man who held up a gas station on Sunday night

BIRMINGHAM, Mi. (WXYZ) - Birmingham Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who held up a Mobile Gas Station on 14 Mile Road last night.

It happened around 9:45 p.m. at the station at 101 East 14 Mile Road.

Police say the suspect entered the gas station and ordered the employee to the ground. Officers say he was armed with a semi-automatic hand gun.

The man took an unknown amount of money and ran from the scene, leaving through the back door.

He is described as a white man, between 45 and 50-years old. He has gray hair and was wearing a black hoodie and dark rimmed glasses. He was also wearing shorts and black tennis shoes and a mask that covered his nose and mouth.

The man is described as being 5'7" or 5'8" and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
