Birmingham, Michigan (WXYZ) - A 23-year-old Williamsburg woman may have let the wrong man take her for a ride to a friend's house.
Police say she found herself stuck in his car as police chased him.
Beverly Hills Police tried to pull the man over near 13 Mile and Southfield. He refused to stop, and sped off.
He then drove into Birmingham where Birmingham Police tried to pull him over. It finally came to an end when he crashed into a condo on Southfield Road. Debris from that home went flying, crashing into the neighbor's house.
"When the car hit their garage it blew out the supporting structure and all the brick, blew into the side of our house and broke three windows," said Sharon Raymon.
Police say the driver, a 32-year-old Troy man, suffered critical injuries. The 23 year old woman was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released.
She told police she just met the man at a party, and she begged him to pull over before the crash.
"How could it come to the point where someone is going 60 mph and never broke? They never broke. There's no skid marks in the street," said Raymon.
Police say they also found a gun in the car and evidence the driver was using drugs and alcohol. The crash remains under investigation.
