Corvette-themed cocktail party benefits AIDS charity ahead of Woodward Dream Cruise

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - A special benefit ahead of the Woodward Dream Cruise will cater to Detroit's love of the Chevrolet Corvette while raising awareness for AIDS this August.

The Michael Chetcuti Foundation and General Motors are partnering with AIDS Walk Detroit for a pre-Dream Cruise cocktail party and benefit on August 15, at the well-known Royal Oak home of Michael Chetcuti and Kyle Evans.

The Corvette-themed party will feature the new 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray, a 1978 Corvette Aero Coupe Concept and two 1966 Corvettes.

"This is a great event that supports two great passions of mine and Kyle Evans'," said Michael Chetcuti. "We support AIDS Walk Detroit and the great work that they do, and we love classic automobiles—especially American-made cars."

"We thank General Motors for supporting this event by letting us display these vehicles." Chetcuti added. "The Corvette is an icon of American industry and Detroit culture. Let's have fun, celebrate Detroit, and raise funds and awareness for a great charity that combats AIDS. Drive local. We do."

Tickets are $250 per person and can be purchased by contacting Christopher Keyes at 248.399.WALK (9255) or via email events@aidswalkdetroit.org .
