ORCHARD LAKE, Mich. (WXYZ) - In a developing story this morning, some people are waking up this holiday weekend with a big cleaning job ahead of them.
They’re dealing with what is left after storms rolled through Orchard Lake last week.
High winds hit the area early Tuesday morning, knocking down 17-very-old oak trees at a nursing home on Green Lake.
Neighbors and crews say the trees were just no match for the strong storms.
Crews have been pretty busy cutting and chipping all of the fallen trees to make the area safe.
