ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Detroit man is facing charges that he ran from police after exposing himself inside a Royal Oak Starbucks.
Police arrested Dionne Harris on July 6 after a short chase through the city. The chase began after the department received reports that a man was exposing himself inside the Starbucks at 300 S. Main Street.
As officers arrived on scene, the suspect ran out of the coffee shop and got into a parked vehicle before attempting to run away by driving southbound on Main.
Officers pursued the suspect, who, police say, refused to stop and tried to evade them by driving through residential neighborhoods. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody in the 300 block of E. Parent.
He was later identified as the 41-year-old Harris.
Harris has been charged with one count of Fleeing and Eluding-Second Degree and one count of Indecent Exposure. He was arraigned on the charges Tuesday afternoon and his bond was set at $20,000.
Harris is due back in court on July 11.
Police say he has prior convictions for fleeing and eluding a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearms, felony possession of a controlled substance and retail fraud.
